Back in business

Unity's been kicking my ass the last week. Initial development was so deceptively easy that when it turned to cornered-ferret mode it came as a bit of a shock.

The underlying problem is that HTML5 games (browser playable) need to have all component files <200MB. Which was fine until I added Mia's 3rd movie, where the MP4 movie files pushed the core EXE above the limit. Normally, fixing that should be quite doable... but AssetBundles (and specifically asset bundles for HTML5 deployment) has been an unmitigated clusterfuck.

I finally got it working today, after 4 days of hammering the problem. Then realize the videos never even played in the web player.... :)  Some times you need to laugh so you won't cry.

Anyway; the Web Playable version is back up, sans movies. I'll look into a HTML5-specific movie solution, there's some clues online.

What ELSE is going on with 0.1.0? Well, it's the first 'official' release. Tons of bug-fixes, corrected spelling, a new movie scene, and all the pre-work for Chloe's first movie completed. Things have been balanced, lots of new Pup-centric events, and even a romance sub-quest introduced (with Mia, of course). We'll see what you guys think of that; maybe I make it one of the 'victory paths', where you end up marrying your young porn-star, living happily ever after.
